🇫🇷 Renovation of the Oloron-Bedous railway line

Project
Location
Oloron-Bedous Saint Marie - France
Type
Renewal of switches and crossings

A consortium, led by TSO (leader), Guintoli, EHTP, NGE FONDATIONS, NGE GENIE CIVIL, AGILIS and SFERIS have carried out the regeneration work of the Oloron-Bedous railway line between the cities of Oloron-Sainte-Marie and Bedous, in the Aspe valley (Pyrénées-Atlantiques department) after more than 30 years after traffic stopped.

As a result of a decision by the Aquitaine regional council, this project, consists in regenerating almost 25 km of tracks under the closed line system – interruption of operations for a significant period of time to enable the completion of major regeneration works.
These works will enable this abandoned line to be reopened, providing the local population with a new, safe and more environmentally-friendly solution to sustainable mobility.

The scope of work includes:

  • Execution studies
  • Earthworks, sewage works, network burial works, earth structure, fence installation, access, sensing wire and improvements at level crossings
  • Track laying
  • Supply of the entire materials, equipment, products and components required to complete the works specific to this site

This project demonstrates the ability of our teams to put the Multiexpertise concept to work on the most ambitious projects, enabling the rail network to be (re)developed in France and around the world.
