🇫🇷 Extension of the T6 tramway in Lyon
TSO (lead contractor), Guintoli, AGILIS, TSO CATENAIRES, in a consortium with Razel-Bec, Coiro TP, MDTP and Chazal have won the infrastructure and track contracts for the extension of the T6 tramway to the north of Villeurbanne in a hyper-urban environment.Â
The aim of this project is to serve the major urban centres, improve local services and facilitate out-of town travel on a very busy route, with 55,000 passengers per day expected by 2026.
Teams from the NGE Group will carry out earthworks and networks (clearing rights of way and rerouting networks), the laying of track with vibration absorption systems, the installation of the overhead contact line and the mineral surfacing and heavy marking operations.
3 « one-off » operations will be required to make connections with existing transport lines.Â
The works also involve urban upgrading of the façades and the creation of cycle and pedestrian facilities, with clear and comfortable footpaths along the route.Â
This project, which has been declared to be in the public interest, strengthens the position of TSO and the NGE Group, thanks in particular to its portfolio of expertise and its Multi-expertise trade offering, as a major player in favour of urban public transport and thus of sustainable mobility which will benefit thousands of passengers every year.
