A 100% NGE consortium, led by TSO (leader), OFFROY, TSO CATENAIRES and SAGES RAIL has won the MT104 contract to modify the railway infrastructure at St Jean de Maurienne as part of the future Lyon-Turin line.Â
This project is the second contract won by the Group as part of the Lyon-Turin project, since NGE teams are also working on lot 3 of the Lyon-Turin base tunnel.Â
The MT104 project is part of a Multiexpertise contract aimed at modifying the Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne infrastructure for the interconnection of the National Rail Network with the tunnel access of the cross-border section of the future line. Â
The scope of the work therefore includes carrying out design studies, supplying, installing and removing track and catenary equipment and providing rail safety services.
At the same time, the TSO teams have already been involved between 2019 and 2021 in several preparatory contracts for the arrival of the future railway line between France and Italy:Â Â
- TSO SIGNALISATION carried out the main civil engineering works contract between the Epierre and Saint Michel de Maurienne stations for the new computerised signal boxes in the area
- TSO CATENAIRES which regenerated the catenary at Saint-André-le-Gaz station
- TSO CATENAIRES (lead contractor), in a consortium with TSO SIGNALISATION, Guintoli and NGE FONDATIONS for the replacement of the rockfall detection nets, including the foundations and caulking of the catenary supports and the unrolling of the new nets.
This new project demonstrates the ability of TSO and its subsidiaries, as well as the NGE Group, to carry out ambitious projects such as the Lyon-Turin, which will help to improve mobility, the economy and the environment in Europe.Â
