A 100% Multiexpertise consortium, led by EGENIE (lead contractor), TSO, Guintoli, NGE GENIE CIVIL, FVF and SAGES RAIL has completed a major new project to revitalise the fine service railway lines: the modernisation of the Nexon – Saint-Yrieix line.
This project aims at several long-term objectives: enabling trains to run at their normal speed of 70 km/h, ensuring the performance and punctuality of the line and maintaining the safety and comfort of passengers.

The scope of the works includes:  the regeneration of the single-track line with the renewal of over 14 km of ballast track and 1.2 km of rails, the creation of walkable paths along the line, the installation of ballast guards, the construction of a hydraulic structure, the replacement of another structure, and the renewal of 3 bridge decks.

EGENIE and TSO teams were also mobilised for a preliminary contract aimed at replacing the sleepers in the back base during the day, placing them along the track at night, and finally carrying out topographic surveys.

This project demonstrates our teams’ ability to use Multiexpertise offer in the service of the most ambitious projects to (re)develop the railway network in France and worldwide.
