A 100% Multiexpertise consortium, comprising Guintoli (leader), OFFROY, SAGES RAIL, and NGE GENIE CIVIL has been chosen by SNCF Réseau to carry out work to bring Chambéry station up to PRM (People with Reduced Mobility) standards, as part of the process of bringing stations on the French rail network up to standard to ensure that the infrastructure is accessible to all passengers.

The scope of the work for the OFFROY and SAGES RAIL teams includes raising the level of the platforms to facilitate access to the trains, making the platform equipment safe, installing warning tiles for the visually impaired and bringing the subways and canopies up to standard.

In order to carry out this work, our teams worked at night so as not to disrupt traffic and demonstrated impressive logistical organisation since all the elements required for the project (prepared by our daytime teams) were transported by a work train, since the rear base was located 500 m from the work area.
At the same time, our teams also ensured that all the station’s safety equipment (displays, platform loudspeakers, etc.) remained operational.

This new project in the region demonstrates the commitment of TSO and the NGE Group to making the rail network accessible to all passengers,  as well as their ability to carry out the most ambitious projects while ensuring continuity of service.
