The consortium led by NGE via its rail subsidiary TSO signed a contract with RATP on Friday 24 November 2017 covering the design and construction of the Paris Metro Line 11 extension and a new maintenance centre. This €32 million project is part of the Grand Paris infrastructure programme to extend and expand the public transport network to the east of Paris. The new extension will link Mairie des Lilas station to Rosny Sous-Bois station when it comes into service in 2022.
NGE’s rail subsidiary will lay the 12.4 km of metro tracks, the guidance system in its entirety, as well as the ‘conventional’ track used exclusively for train maintenance and the walkways on either side of the tunnel.
TSO was able to rely on its proven expertise in rail infrastructures to show RATP its ability to adapt to the transport operator’s new needs, and provide the project assistance required to manage this complex urban worksite, which forms an integral part of the Grand Paris Express project.
