Track laying

TSO (lead contractor), Guintoli, and Agilis, in a consortium with Alstom, Spie Batignolles, and Melet, have won the contract to build the railway track for the future Line 5 in the northern sector of Montpellier.
This project aims to strengthen the existing network towards the city centre and will offer high-quality service to many metropolitan hubs of activity, residents, and employment.

The scope of the work includes the creation of a new tramway line over 5 km, serving 8 stations between Saint-Eloi and Clapiers.
TSO will also provide track components for the Les Hirondelles Operations and Maintenance Centre. At the same time, NGE’s regional entities in the Languedoc Roussillon area, Guintoli and EHTP, have been selected to carry out the clearing of land and the relocation of utilities, followed by surface work.

This project strengthens the position of TSO and the NGE Group as major players in urban public transport and, therefore, in sustainable mobility, which will benefit thousands of passengers each year.
