🇫🇷 Extension of the T2 tramway of Lyon
TSO (leader), Guintoli, EHTP, AGILIS, TSO CATENAIRES and TSO SIGNALISATION, in consortium with SPIE and SECA carried out the extension works of Lyon’s T2 tramway.
This project aims to improve intramodality, support urban development projects in the Confluence district and enhance the capacity of Lyon’s tramway network which handles over 400,000 journeys daily.
The NGE Group teams created a new turnaround area for T2 trams (at the new terminus « Hôtel de Région – Montrochet) and a bifurcation of the T2 line on the existing T1 infrastructure (with connection).
To carry out these works, our teams installed two temporary track devices, known as « Californians » to continue operations on both sides of the site.
Meanwhile, TSO CATENAIRES installed overhead contact profiles (an innovation developed by the design office)to support the contact wire without mechanical tension above these devices. This innovation saves time and increases efficiency throughout the operational shutdown.Â
This project, strengthens the position of TSO and the NGE Group, thanks to its portfolio of expertise and Multi-expertise offer, as a major player in urban public transport and sustainable mobility, benefiting thousands of passengers each year.
