🇫🇷 Renovation of the Côte Bleue railway line
A 100% Multi-expertise consortium, led by TSO (leader), NGE FONDATIONS, NGE GENIE CIVIL, SAGES RAIL and TSO SIGNALISATION carried out the regeneration works on the Côte Bleue railway line, between Carry-le-Rouet and l’Estaque in the Bouches-du-Rhône department.
This project, co-financed by the State, the South Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region, the Bouches-du-Rhône department, the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, and SNCF as part of the State-Region Plan contract, involves regenerating nearly 24 km of tracks on this freight and passenger transport line.
These works reduce slowdowns and thus, ensure the sustainability of the department’s rail service.
The scope of the works includes:
- The complete renewal of the tracks (sleepers, ballast, rails) using the DRL-C ballast cleaner (allowing our teams to intervene in dense areas)
- Civil engineering and related works: tunnel reinforcement, hydraulic works, fence installation, securing structures
- The reinforcement of the Rio Tinto slope with works in difficult access areas by NGE FONDATIONS: protective nets, rock bolting, etc.
This project demonstrates our teams’ ability to bring Multi-expertise to the most ambitious projects while respecting planning challenges and environmental constraints during the works.
CSR & Innovation
- Professional integration
- 9,800 hours planned in the contract vs. 13,000 hours completed in total
- Implementation of a protected species protection system in a ZNIEFF 2 classified environment for the structure reinforcement part
