🇫🇷 Switches renewal in Lorient
TSO, accompanied by its subsidiaries OLICHON and TSO CATENAIRES, took part in a major project at Lorient station (Morbihan) on the Quimper-Rennes line as part of the RAVI programme.Â
This project, led by SNCF Réseau, is part of an overall programme to renew and modernise the railway lines in the Brittany region. The aim is to ensure the long-term sustainability of the infrastructure, improve punctuality, and ensure passenger safety.
The scope of the work includes the renewal of three track devices as well as a communication system that has been in place for over 20 years.Â
In total, two high-impact operations of 24 hours and 16 hours were required.
To carry out this work, numerous equipment resources were deployed, including 14 road-rail excavators, 12 PEM-LEM gantries, 2 tamping machines, and 4 locomotives, in order to meet the tight deadlines.Â
This project demonstrates the commitment of TSO and its subsidiaries to the modernisation of the railway network in the Brittany region, de as well as the ability of our teams to meet the needs of our clients throughout France.
