🇫🇷 Switches renewal in Montpellier
TSO, along with its subsidiaries EGENIE, TSO CATENAIRES, and SAGES, took part in a major project at Montpellier station (Hérault) on the Tarascon-Sète line as part of the RAVI programme.
This project, led by SNCF Réseau, is part of a global programme for renewing and modernising railway tracks in the Occitanie region. The aim is to improve the performance of this railway line and ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.
The scope of the works includes the renewal of the station’s ageing track system and the transformation of this system into a group of welded track devices, which is particularly necessary during hot weather.
In total, nearly 8 track devices were renewed, along with 350 metres of ballast track.
To carry out these works, located in the heart of Montpellier, a large amount of equipment was used, including a 700-metre-long work train during two intensive operations lasting 88 and 53 hours.
This project demonstrates TSO and its subsidiaries’ commitment to modernising the railway network in the Occitanie region and the ability of our teams to meet client needs, wherever they may be in France.
