🇫🇷 Switches renewal in Morlaix
TSO, along with its subsidiaries OLICHON, TSO CATENAIRES, and SAGES RAIL, took part in a major project at Morlaix station (Finistère) on the Paris-Brest line as part of the RAVI programme.
This project, led and funded by SNCF Réseau, is part of a comprehensive programme to renew and modernise the railway tracks in the region. The objective is to ensure the performance of the railway infrastructure, optimise punctuality, and guarantee passenger comfort and safety.
The scope of work includes the renewal of 5 track devices and nearly 400 metres of ballast track, using the Crab 90 dual-crane lifting beam, which allows the lifting of track panels and/or track devices weighing up to 17.5 tonnes.
Part of the work took place on the Morlaix viaduct, a historic monument that is 292 metres long and 62 metres high. To carry out the planned work on this viaduct safely, the OLICHON subsidiary teams installed a temporary guardrail system, allowing it to be adjusted to the correct height and protecting the teams.
This project demonstrates TSO and its subsidiaries’ commitment to modernising the railway network in the Brittany region, as well as across France.
