Project
Location
France - Connerré (72)
Type
Turnouts renewal

TSO, working with SNCF Réseau, has taken part in work to renew an HSL turnout at Connerré (72), on the Paris-Rennes section of the BPL (Bretagne-Pays de la Loire) high-speed line, as part of the RAVI programme.
This project is part of an overall programme to renew and modernise the track on this LGV line, with the aim of improving the performance of this railway line and ensuring passenger safety and comfort.

The scope of the work includes:

  • Removal of the existing equipment
  • Clearing the platform
  • Creation of the sub-base
  • Levelling and compacting the subgrade, making the track bed
  • Laying the new 220 m long turnout and ballasting and tamping operations

This refurbishment work on the HSL BPL connection required almost 32 hours of track interceptions and the use of 24 lorry cranes to transport and lay this new long switch.

This project demonstrates TSO’s commitment to modernising the rail network, as well as the ability of our teams to deploy exceptional resources for the most ambitious projects.
